DOULA, EDUCATOR IN PERINATAL CARE AND FEMALE SEXUALITY

Welcome to this space, where for years I have been accompanying women through the menstrual cycle, childbirth and menopause.

As an invitation to re-appropriate these stages, honouring our rhythms, times and processes. And, in this way, to reinvent other ways of thinking, feeling and narrating ourselves. From the first to the last moon.

I look forward to seeing you in the workshops, circles, rituals or individual sessions that I offer

I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, to a brave woman who entrusted me with her life. And with her, the seeds of care, of shared intimacy, of circular time and the complicity of resonating souls, in which my work is rooted. I also nestle seeds of shelter, beacon and refuge. From these seeds, sown by my father, are born spaces of listening, of the possibility of change, of contact, of openness to life and of service to it.

After living in Uruguay, I migrated to Argentina, Paraguay, Barcelona, Paraguay again and later to France, where I currently live.

At the age of 29, I went to Barcelona to continue my studies for a year and stayed for 13 years! As often happens, the most significant learning took place outside the walls of the university.

Until then, I had seen the menstrual cycle, childbirth and the menopause as bales of our biology. But there, I managed to transform the narratives about these stages and I was able to let myself be transformed by them. Thus, I discovered in our cyclical nature, an ally; in childbirth, the wisdom that the body holds; and in menopause, a way back home.

My proposals bring together three of my passions: communication, education and sexuality. As well as all that training, meetings and practices in the accompaniment of women, in generous listening and in the facilitation of rituals and ceremonies have brought me.

The seeds that were entrusted to me will always be with me. From them, this invitation to go inwards, deep inside, is born. Until we find that point of the ball of yarn that, in the midst of darkness, uncertainty or discomfort, helps us to walk. And perhaps transforms us, while we go through our intimate and vital biography.

A little more about my path

In 2006, I became a mother for the first time. I decided to give birth at home and this revolutionised the way I looked at labour and birth

In 2008, I became a mother for the second time. The experience of giving birth at home was just as beautiful and transformative as the first time

In 2010, I co-founded Alma Mater, a Pregnancy, Childbirth and Maternity Support Group in Barcelona, Spain

In 2012, we took a sabbatical year to travel around South America as a family. This adventure would embark us on another, the premature birth of our third daughter and, living with her, one of the most beautiful experiences: the permanent and uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact, or Kangaroo Method

In 2012, I created, in Paraguay, 9 Lunas, an initiative for the respectful accompaniment of childbirth and motherhood

In 2014, I co-founded the Paraguayan Doula Network

In 2015, I co-founded the Doula Volunteer Programme of the San Pablo Maternity and Children's Hospital, Asuncion

From 2017 to 2022 I collaborated with the Steiner Waldorf School of Toulouse " Les Tournesols " in the respectful accompaniment of girls in their first moon or first menstruation

Today, in addition to workshops, circles and rituals, I offer individual online and face-to-face sessions in French, English and Spanish
